Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's cuisine is a means to explore her life. Food is what inspires curiosity. This was the result after she stepped outside of the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally diverse scene in Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting in the same dish is her ideology. Her dishes all are based on a singular idea, which is to embrace the current as well as reminiscing about the old. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in 2013. The restaurant was opened by her because of her American-born Italian heritage. Lofaso's interpretation of traditional Italian has been hailed as the one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian eateries. The restaurant is frequently highly acclaimed by patrons of Scopa's because the food is authentic and unmistakably pleasing. Lofaso studied under the best chefs to learn their refined techniques. But she didn't hesitate to make extraordinary decisions to honor her gut instincts. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago, and then went on to work closely with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso as well as Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Her home was in Black Market Liquor Bar and her business alliances. The partnership would allow for the creative freedom Lofaso desired. Black Market does not have a single direction, which is the reason why it was created. This course would begin by serving dill-flavored chips on potato Shishito peppers, then finish with Korean wings. Antonia Chef Antonia Lofaso's vision who created this delicious menu full of vibrant flavors, anchors it all. Her talents continue to shine in front of cameras as an expert panelist on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and recurring role on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin to release The Busy mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For Fast Delicious Home Cooked Meals in 2012.
